I'm still here
With the new house came a new pussy! A 12month old black and white cat called Sylvester, all for me to play with. He lives inside and doesn't come out. I will tell you all about him later when mum has a chance to get some photos together to show you.
On weekends we visit cousin Ben and cousin Sophie. I have a new cousin too - Pepper - she is a black little something very furry.

Perry the Ferrie
It had been raining quite heavy for a few days and even though I asked mum wouldn't take me for my daily walk. Yesterday it was dry enough so we went out. One street we went down had a loud noise that went on and on, we stopped outside a house and the smoke detector was making the noise. There were two ladies looking at the inside of the house through the window but there was no smoke or fire. One of the ladies said there was a window partially open out the back but she wasn't going out there because there were two BIG dogs.
One of the dogs was at the side fence so I was brave and went over for a chat. It was a big boxer dog, the other was down the back yard barking. One of the ladies started yelling at it over the fence, she said it had a ferret bailed up at the back fence, the barking had been going on for 4 hours! What is a ferret I ask?
While one lady went back to her place next door to ring the firebrigade to come and check out the place, the other lady and mum and me went up the lane that runs beside the house to the reserve at the back. Mum found where the 'ferret' was and the lady got a stick and started to dig a little gap under the fence. Mum got on her hands and knees and helped make the hole big enough. Then a little nose poked out and the 'ferret' squeezed through. Mum caught it.
It lookes like a cross between a pussy cat and a rat, I like pussy cats. It was a yellow colour with red eyes, but was all muddy and had a couple of puncture wounds from the dog. By the time we all walked back around the front the firemen came and the ferret had gone to sleep. One of the men cut the padlock on the gate and another was brave to enter the yard and got into the house. All was well.
Me and mum and the ferret walked home, it was still sleeping. When we got home mum said the ferret had to be washed, she put a little warm water in a bucket and put him in, he started drinking the warm, soapy water! The ordeal of a 4 hour bail up had left it thirsty. Mum, washed and dried the ferret and let it go on the floor, he found a dark corner and curled up and went to sleep, he was so worn out. Mum left me in charge while she went to the pet shop to see what it ate and what to do with it. She said we can't keep it but will look after it for a couple of days.

That Cat
On arrival to my new home I found I had a housemate - a cat! Her name was Shima, she was a big gray ball of fluff - and she didn't like dogs. Shima was a stray that came to live with mum a few years earlier.
When I came to the house Shima spent nearly a year living in the spare room, much of that time on top of the wardrobe out of my way. She only came down to feed and use the kittylitter. Slowly she made it out and we got used to each other but we had to stay at arms length away. On the lounge one sat on either side of mum and same with our sleeping arrangements at night - one on either side and all was well. Sometimes we had a little game when I would chase her from one end of the house to another, then she would chase me back, mum would laugh at us.

In the Begining......
I was only 8 weeks old and a cutie if I may say so. They wouldn't let her take me home straight away cause I still needed some vacinations, but they said she could pay a deposit and that no one else could take me home.
So a couple of weeks later she came back and I went to her place.... She didn't tell me she had a cat!
