To continue on with my pussy cat story, Shima got sick in 2002 and had to go away and I was left all alone while mum was at work. I cried a lot so mum and me went for a drive to the RSPCA and I picked out another little kitty to bring home. We called him George, he was white with ginger markings. We became great friends and played alot together.
In late 2008 George disappeared while moving from QLD to NSW.Monday, April 27, 2009

Perry the Ferrie
I don't usually post midweek but I wanted to share with you the events that happened yesterday when mum took me for a walk:
It had been raining quite heavy for a few days and even though I asked mum wouldn't take me for my daily walk. Yesterday it was dry enough so we went out. One street we went down had a loud noise that went on and on, we stopped outside a house and the smoke detector was making the noise. There were two ladies looking at the inside of the house through the window but there was no smoke or fire. One of the ladies said there was a window partially open out the back but she wasn't going out there because there were two BIG dogs.
One of the dogs was at the side fence so I was brave and went over for a chat. It was a big boxer dog, the other was down the back yard barking. One of the ladies started yelling at it over the fence, she said it had a ferret bailed up at the back fence, the barking had been going on for 4 hours! What is a ferret I ask?
While one lady went back to her place next door to ring the firebrigade to come and check out the place, the other lady and mum and me went up the lane that runs beside the house to the reserve at the back. Mum found where the 'ferret' was and the lady got a stick and started to dig a little gap under the fence. Mum got on her hands and knees and helped make the hole big enough. Then a little nose poked out and the 'ferret' squeezed through. Mum caught it.
It lookes like a cross between a pussy cat and a rat, I like pussy cats. It was a yellow colour with red eyes, but was all muddy and had a couple of puncture wounds from the dog. By the time we all walked back around the front the firemen came and the ferret had gone to sleep. One of the men cut the padlock on the gate and another was brave to enter the yard and got into the house. All was well.
Me and mum and the ferret walked home, it was still sleeping. When we got home mum said the ferret had to be washed, she put a little warm water in a bucket and put him in, he started drinking the warm, soapy water! The ordeal of a 4 hour bail up had left it thirsty. Mum, washed and dried the ferret and let it go on the floor, he found a dark corner and curled up and went to sleep, he was so worn out. Mum left me in charge while she went to the pet shop to see what it ate and what to do with it. She said we can't keep it but will look after it for a couple of days.
